Production affiliate stacks separate ingestion from settlement: HTTPS postbacks and first-party tracking pixels land in an append-only event stream (Kafka or NATS), normalized into a canonical schema (click_id, sub_ids, geo, device class, landing path). Dedupe keys and attribution windows (first-touch, last-touch, time-decay) are computed in a streaming or micro-batch layer so you can replay history when rules change — without corrupting paid balances.
The commission engine sits on a double-entry ledger: accruals per affiliate, currency, and deal tier; FX snapshots at payout time; withholdings for chargebacks or clawbacks. Payout rails (crypto, SEPA, stablecoin treasury) integrate through idempotent APIs with reconciliation jobs that flag drift between PSP statements and internal balances.
Leaderboards and creator UX consume read-optimized stores (Redis sorted sets, ClickHouse rollups) fed from the same source of truth, so rankings, dashboards, and fraud review screens never disagree.
